I attended the College for Creative Studies in the mid-seventies for a BFA my major of course was the tire thing with a big emphasis on Studio shooting since I am in the land of what they call Chrome. By that I mean automobiles and Industrial Equipment xcetera. I had one of the world’s most renowned Studio photographers who also shot for life and Time Magazine in his free time which she had very little love because he was the head of GM’s photographic 4 / 30 plus years. He taught us the tricks of the trade is known in that era. From multiple exposures 2 masking and other creative lighting techniques which would still be good today. But for the first two you guys have just blown my head off with the technology you have at the touch of a button. The school now offers major programs and electronics Imaging / photography. Now one of the core courses in your first year is 2 semesters Photoshop and I would imagine all the other applications associated with such. I’m 66 years old and became disabled shortly after graduation. So rather than become the shooter I became a Critic in my own mind. I would look at every type of photograph from commercial to National Geographic. Always looking at how the product was being presented and location plus time of day early a.m. or late pm. Of course my minor was in design. So with the help of Facebook I stumble across these various photo sites or should I say groups and I join two or three. Strange surreal Plus Urban in black and white only. An interesting group is the one group that still shoots with film. Then they run that through Photoshop. Well I’m getting the urge to get back into things butt a number of health issues have come up over the past two or three years would have prevented me from even picking up a multi-purpose camera. I had so much money in my 35 – 4 x 5 systems with all the most wonderful lenses in the world. Well needless to say that Cameron has sat there for 3 years. But work like yours and that crazy Canadian it opened my eyes to so many wonderful ways to use your type of media. Mobility is an issue for me especially in an urban setting 4th Street shooting butt there’s still a lot of interesting and creative things to be shot and multi-processor I believe so I watch your work was great curiosity and can only comment on what I see and how it’s put together design-wise. This example is one of many I seen you guys put it out, it is also very wonderful. So please keep posting you’re wonderful images any opinion I would ever be with only me those of mine. Why is the most important things I learned in art school was to be able to accept competent criticism. So if I do make a comment please do not take it at heart it’s only from my eye to my heart. Just wanted to let you know where my head is. I don’t know how to get your work on my tablet or phone sends a very seldom booted up my laptop anymore and my wife has a superpower 32 inch high def PC. Which one I put your worked up just blows my mind. You have a wonderful day and boy I do love California, when I win the lotto I’m moving to La Jolla. So I hope to see you soon neighbor 🙂 🙂
